1. What WASPrFlow Handles
- Microphone audio while you hold the dictation hotkey.
- Transcript text produced by speech-to-text.
- Rewritten text when AI rewrite is enabled.
- Licence data (email and licence key) if you activate a licence.
- Local settings and history on your device: preferences, dictionary terms, transcript history, and logs.
2. Where Data Goes
- WASPrFlow relay (
relay.wasprflow.xyz): the app sends audio and rewrite requests here. The relay forwards them to the providers below and does not store audio, transcripts, or rewritten text. It logs request metadata only: route, status, timing, and a hashed caller id. - Deepgram: receives the live audio stream and returns a transcript.
- OpenAI: receives transcript text when AI rewrite is on, and returns the cleaned text.
- Licensing worker: handles checkout, licence issuance, and activation checks.
All of these connections use TLS. The providers' own privacy and retention terms apply to the data they receive.
3. Retention
- Relay: no audio, transcript, or rewritten text is retained. Metadata logs are short-lived operational records.
- Deepgram: Privacy Mode adds
mip_opt_out=trueto US and EU requests, opting out of the Model Improvement Program. Request metadata and usage logs are still recorded by the provider. - OpenAI: retention follows your OpenAI account terms for the key in use.
- Your device: history, dictionary, settings, and logs are stored locally until you clear them. History can be disabled or cleared from settings.
4. API Keys
- The app ships with no provider keys. Dictation and rewrite work out of the box through the relay, which holds the provider credentials server-side.
- If you choose to supply your own keys, they are stored locally in your app data folder and used directly against the provider. They are never sent to the relay.
- Keys are never written to history, logs, or transcripts.
5. Your Controls
- Privacy Mode: opt out of provider model-improvement retention on US/EU routes.
- Custom endpoint or local runtime: keep audio on infrastructure you control.
- AI rewrite on/off: disable rewrite so transcripts are inserted without a language-model call.
- History and logs: clear or export them from settings at any time.
- Dictionary: edit or remove personal terms locally.
6. Website Analytics
The website uses first-party, anonymous product analytics to count page views, download starts, video plays, scroll depth, and engagement. Those events never include speech, dictated text, account details, licence keys, email addresses, or IP addresses in the stored payload.
The site also uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the pages. Clarity is a third-party service; Microsoft's privacy terms apply to the data it collects.
